Jim and I were vacationing/working in Denver, Colorado and we ran across this sculpting by Martha Pettigrew…from The KNOX Galleries (www.knoxgalleries.com). I asked Jim to snap this photo of me talking with the women because I loved the title “Gossip.” As I think about blogging, I think about internet gossip…spreading rumors, spreading the word, typing for the world to see what’s inside. Only there’s a difference between old fashioned gossip and internet gossip. Old fashioned gossip is meant to be kept a secret from the one talked about (although we all know that never happens). Internet gossip is started by one person, and hopefully, spread throughout a community of bloggers… With internet gossip, the secret is meant to be told and is never really “a secret” at all.
So here is my attempt to jump on board and share some internet gossip…to talk about what’s going on in the world I live in…and hopefully to hear back from all of you internet gossipers out there…because as we tell our stories to each other, as we think out loud together, as we question each other…our lives take on a new form of community and we (hopefully) influence the whole of the world for good.
So for now…let’s gossip!
